Mr. Javed Khan and Jockey Mr. A Sandesh, the trainer and rider of dk b m THE KISS, when afforded an opportunity to explain the running and riding of the mare, Tr. Javed Khan stated that “I had instructed Jockey A.Sandesh to take a level jump and cover her up and settle a little off the pace as she likes to run that way, but since she was drawn 8 out of 8 runners and missed the jump a little, was left to do a lot at the end or she could have finished a lot closer, thats my observation of the race”.

Jockey A Sandesh stated that “my instructions were to give her a chance in early part of the race and come with a run in the straight, Sir first of all my mount jumped out awkwardly on the outside and then I got her in and I gave her a chance as I have done it in the past on her and rounding the five hundred meter, I gave a clear run but there was not much acceleration and she laboured on to finish fifth”.

The Stipendiary Stewards noted the explanations for future reference.
